Street children in Mumbai.
Mumbai attracks thousands of children every year. They come from all parts of India to live in the biggest and most prosperous city of India. Often they come from poor and broken families. Mostly they try to get a job, like caterer at the wedding halls, or rag picker at the stations. Some manage, with help of a ngo like Saathi to become roomboy in hotels. Many boys end up in one of the shelters of the many ngo's, like Don Bosco. There they are helped with food, education and a job. Girls often are with their families. They belong to the group of pavement dwellers.
